A new trailer for the new TV show "Outcast" was just released, and it includes an appearance from Lee. (Thanks to

This is at least the fourth time Lee has been tied to a chair and victimized. Not that I've been keeping track.
In addition, last Friday, Lee took part in a podcast interview where he talked about his career for an hour and forty minutes (!!) with the people at Dysfunctionalpodcast.com. He was actually supposed to be on the show the previous Friday, but... he forgot to call in. (I have an idea that self-promotion must not be real high on Lee's list of priorities.)
You can listen to the interview via their website, or YouTube, or you can download it off iTunes. Several of the stories that Lee shared were ones that I had already heard or read about, but they're always nice to hear again. Plus, there was some new information and interesting tidbits (e.g., Lee mentioned going to the theater with Tom Fontana the night before to see the play "The Father," which stars Frank Langella and Kathryn Erbe).
Of course, the very best part was when Lee talked about Chris

Lee: Chris Meloni was just recently on "[Inside] the Actors' Studio," and they talk about Oz, obviously, and he starts talking about the relationship between Keller and Beecher and their feelings for each other. And I was sitting there watching on my computer the other day, just like 3 days ago. And, all of a sudden, as he's just talking about our relationship, I started to cry, like you would cry if you were like hanging out with somebody you were in a relationship with years ago, and you were talking about, you know, how fucked up the relationship was, but how much you still loved them and stuff. It was the weirdest fucking thing. I was sitting there like, I am crying? It was really trippy. And I think it's a testament to how much that relationship... how it... I don't know, that show... and Tom's writing was so amazing, and those characters were so real. And I called Chris right after I saw it. He didn't answer, so I left a message: "Dude, this is so weird, but sort of cool."
Interviewer: Was it like that Adele song "Hello"? That message?
Lee: Yeah! [Laughs and starts singing] Hellooo...

I ♥ the fact that Lee freely admitted that his memories of that relationship make him cry. We fans aren't the only ones!
Lee also told a story (at 1:11:00) of watching his SVU episode "Savior" with Eamonn Walker when it was broadcast for the first time. Eamonn expressed disbelief at the way Meloni's Elliot Stabler "interrogated" Lee's perp, and Lee had to explain to him that what they did was supposed to be an homage to their characters on Oz. :-)
In Meloni news, "Underground" aired its season finale Wednesday night. Chris gave a couple of good interviews to The Wrap and Time this week to promote the episode. I know it's been difficult for some people to find access to this show, but the entire first season will be available on DVD on June 14. In case you still need Reasons to watch, I suggest you take a good look at this new behind-the-scenes photo that was released this week:
Can you believe he's 55 years old?! O_O
In addition, it was announced this week that Chris has been cast in a new untitled movie with Amy Schumer and Goldie Hawn about a mother and daughter who get kidnapped while on vacation in Brazil. Chris plays a treasure hunter who's been diagnosed with terminal cancer. (Apparently, it's a comedy? despite the subject matter.)
And finally, just for fun, this blog recently reminisced about Meloni's long-forgotten 1993 sitcom "The Boys," which included clips of an adorably geeky Meloni. (Thanks to melonirocks for this find!) Here are a couple of caps:
I think those might be the same glasses Toby wore in Season 1 of Oz. *g*
