FOX has ordered five new comedies, including something with the working title of "Surviving Jack," based off of Justin Halpern's book "I Suck at Girls," which is a coming-of-age story about a boy and his father in '90s Southern California.

Tidbits:

Christopher Meloni stars as the father, while "Scrubs" and "Cougar Town" favorite Bill Lawrence is on-board as executive producer.

Add'l cast includes Alex Kapp Horner, Connor Buckley, Claudia Lee, Kevin Hernandez, Tyler Foden.

Team: W/EP Justin Halpern, Patrick Schumacker (S#*! My Dad Says); EP Bill Lawrence, Jeff Ingold; D Victor Nelli

Well... it's been a long time since I've seen Meloni be comedic ~~on purpose~~ so... yay! And Bill Lawrence is a happy bonus, and I look forward to lots of face-pulling and fatherly chats. snort

Lee will be in a new play at Playwrights Horizons in NYC this Spring! “Rapture, Blister, Burn” will run from 5/18 - 6/24, with opening night set for June 12th.

Christopher Meloni Officially Joins 'True Blood'

In the criminal justice system, sexually-based vampire attacks are considered especially heinous. (DOINK DOINK)

Yes, that means has officially joined HBO's 'True Blood' as a series regular. This vampire just so happens to hold the fate of Bill and Eric in his very undead hands.

After spending 12 years as Detective Stabler on 'Law & Order: SVU,' Danny Pino and Kelli Giddish were brought on as new 'SVU' detectives.

This is Meloni's first TV gig since leaving 'SVU' and it's a homecoming of sorts of Meloni. He appeared on HBO's acclaimed prison drama 'Oz' for several seasons.
