Some interesting stuff has been going on lately concerning the guys! So here are some updates on Several Various Things! Consider us your one-stop shopping destination for all your Leeloni fandom needs!

A new trailer for the new TV show "Outcast" was just released, and it includes an appearance from Lee. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] miltil for the heads-up!) The series debuts on Cinemax on June 3. (Although, unfortunately, IMDB indicates that Lee is only in the first episode.) Here are a couple of screencaps of Lee AND his Glorious Hair, as well as the trailer itself:

More LEE stuff! AND some LEELONI stuff! )

In Meloni news, "Underground" aired its season finale Wednesday night. Chris gave a couple of good interviews to The Wrap and Time this week to promote the episode. I know it's been difficult for some people to find access to this show, but the entire first season will be available on DVD on June 14. In case you still need Reasons to watch, I suggest you take a good look at this new behind-the-scenes photo that was released this week:

Can you believe he's 55 years old?! O_O

So, if there is one good thing about "Surviving Jack" being cancelled, it's that I doubt Meloni would be tweeting selfies of his package if he were still on a network television show.

@Chris_Meloni: I will stare at ur genitalia until u feed me...

I think this community needs a "Package of Life" tag.  ;D

And.... our Random Moment of Leeloni Squee for the summer comes courtesy of Lee's niece, Kacie (whose father is Lee's brother, Chris Tergesen, the music supervisor on Oz) and a podcast she does each week with a couple of friends where they rehash old episodes of Pokemon.

Moment of Squee Described )
ALSO, Lee mentioned that he was about to start work on "Alpha House," the comedy series available on Amazon Instant Video that stars John Goodman and was created by Garry Trudeau (of Doonesbury fame). He didn't specify whether it was one-time guest-spot or something bigger.

Last week, Chris was on The Sam Roberts Show on SiriusXM radio as part of his ongoing promotion of Surviving Jack.  The interview was OZSOME and full of SERIOUS SQUEE, since Sam Roberts is apparently not only (1) a pretty big Oz fan, but (2) a bit of a Leeloni shipper.  Once again, thanks to Twitter's @melorgitay for the link:

Meloni interview with The Sam Roberts Show

For some reason, I had problems getting the interview to play on my computer and was only able to listen on my mobile device.  So, in case this is a problem for others (and also for the sake of posterity), I transcribed the best Leeloni bits and have included them behind the cut. This was also a great excuse for listening to the interview 20 times.

Chris was also interviewed on another SiriusXM radio program (The Jason Ellis Show), which included this great Leeloni segment, courtesy of a caller:

Meloni on doing a gay love scene

Caller:  Being that you were with Beecher, what did it take, as an actor, for you to cross that barrier to be able to do those make-out scenes?
Meloni:  Yeah, you know, oddly enough... so I kissed Lee Tergesen, and, you know, I had relationships with him quite often.  And then we'd go to work and do it.  (laughs)

In case you missed it on Twitter.... Lee was interviewed for the podcast, "Monsters of Talk," by Margaret Cho and her podcast partner.  (It seems like Margaret Cho has become quite the Lee fangirl since his appearance on her show Drop Dead Diva.)  You can listen at the link, or download and listen to it off iTunes.

It's nearly 90 minutes in length and starts off kind of slow (IMO), but it picks up considerably about half-way through when Lee talks rather candidly about drug use and his family.  Later, he tells a sweet story about Tom Fontana, recaps the GLAAD kiss, and briefly discusses the penises on Oz.  So, there's some interesting stuff in there!

He also mentions that he will be appearing on the show "Longmire," but it's not clear if it's as a guest-star, a recurring role, or what.

I just heard Lee's voice on an Ally Bank commercial that aired on CBS at the end of Mike & Molly. Anyone else see this?!

Diane  - have you  heard anything about this?

Squeee!!

You can read it and hear it!!

I had only a minute to listen to a bit, but what I heard/read, the transcript does not catch everything they say.

Snagged from Audio Book Reviews on Publisher's Weekly dot com.

Brief Interviews with Hideous Men
David Foster Wallace, read by the author and various narrators. Hachette, unabridged, four CDs, 4 hrs., $29.98 ISBN 978-1-60024-737-8

A host of talented narrators and actors—including television actors John Krasinski and Christopher Meloni—deliver nuanced performances of the late Wallace's classic. But it's the author himself who steals the show: his gentle, almost dreamy voice unlocks the elaborate syntax and releases the immense feeling concealed by the comedy and labyrinthine sentences. While the various narrators ably capture the essence of the text, Wallace's renditions of such stories as “Forever Overhead” and “Death Is Not the End” are transcendent. Essential listening for Wallace fans and a fine introduction for newcomers. A Little, Brown hardcover. (Oct.)

I WANT IT.

For those of you who have not had the pleasure of listening to Meloni on audiobook, please make time to listen. He reads both fiction and nonfiction - and they're fantastic. He does voices, he speaks Italian, he is entertaining and guh, his voice.

TESTIMONIALS BY PEOPLE YOU TRUST TO KNOW THE GOOD SHIT.

[livejournal.com profile] colleendetroit sez, "There's nothing like lying in the dark and listening to Chris Meloni read to you. *GUH*

[livejournal.com profile] trillingstar sez, "Okay, listening to CM say "fuck my brains out" - ten times in a row *koff* - alone is worth the $. *guuuh*

You can find Takedown: The Fall of the Mafia Empire and Brief Interviews with Hideous Men over at Audible dot com, or on Amazon.

Then there's True Justice, by Robert K Tannenbaum, and The Attorney, by Steve Martini. I found both of them on iTunes.

On one of them, he's introduced as Christopher Melon, which makes me laugh.

He also reads a bedtime story titled The Little Half Chick.
Hoppity-kick. The end.

BTW,

LEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeEEEEeee has an audio book out too. You can listen to it here. It's a YA book called Touching Spirit Bear, by Ben Mikaelsen. More info here.

I got bored one night last week and made this vid. o_O

I figured it would be prudent to *koff*'document'*koff* the GuyLove, YouTube style.

Vid includes Christopher Meloni's voicemail message for Lee Tergesen (from OZ DVD commentary audio) with subtitles, a certain bit of mesmerizing footage, plus some SuperHigh Meloni to cap it all off.

...a quick and dirty, jam-packed BROMANCE package.
