Oz Magi 2015 is now OPEN for wishes!

For those not already aware,

oz_magi (aka Operation Put a Shank in Everyone's Stocking) is an annual holiday season gift exchange of fan fiction and fanart, and it is one of the highlights of the year for every Oz fan! This will be the 12th (TWELFTH!) consecutive year that the fest has been held, and it has been an important part of keeping this small fandom alive and kicking.

All the details can be found here at the sign-up post. Requirements are deliberately low to encourage participation (only a 500 minimum word count for fic), and new fish are very welcome! The sign-up period ends at midnight on Friday, October 23.

Join us for a summer-long Oz Fest, featuring two theme weeks for Rarepairs and Summer Lovin', as well as Porn Tuesdays*! Six Degrees of Oz welcome.

You get to choose the day(s) that you want to create for, and you choose what you want to produce. All types of Oz fanworks are welcome: art, fic, meta, gifs, vids, icons, banners, sketches, chibis, drabbles, haikus, limericks, crafts, surprise us! You can make prompts -- and take prompts -- from the prompt post here.

As if things weren't exciting enough with the

oz_magi gift exchange currently taking place, the official trailer for Lee's new movie "Tooken" has been released! "Tooken" is a comedic spoof of the "Taken" movie franchise with Lee in the Liam Neeson role. The trailer shows Lee being someone's bitch (at the 1:00 mark) and naked (at 1:14), just like on Oz!

No official release date yet, just promises of "coming soon." (Oh, the inappropriate jokes I could make about that.)

As you may remember, a few months ago Steven Wishnoff (aka Tony Masters on Oz), tweeted a squee-worthy, never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes photo of Chris and Lee lounging on the set of Oz. Well, yesterday he exchanged tweets with the awesome

melonirocks indicating that he had "WAY MORE" pics from the show, specifically "boxes of them." He then went on to say:

@melonirocks @shanna6313 I'm not worried. ;). Find me a bunch more followers and I'll release a few every week.

Apparently, he wants to get to 500 followers (he currently has 364). So, it would be OZSOME if more peeps started following @stevenwishnoff (and maybe let him know why), in hopes that we might be able to see more of these old photos he has! (Didn't Neal Baer do something like this when Lee was guest-starring on SVU?)

Yesterday, Steven tweeted this old pic of Harold Perrineau and a couple of crew members. Although not as exciting as Chris and Lee in pre-cuddle formation, it's still pretty cool to see:

oz_big_bang!! YES IT IS THAT TIME AGAIN

The minimum for fic is 25k and all types of art are welcome. Reveals will be in October, as usual. B3 will be hosting stories/art at AO3 this year, for the first time.

What is OZ Big Bang?
The Boom, Boom, Baby! challenge is one where authors write a long fic of at least 25,000 words. Artists create illustrations, graphics, and other media for the stories.

Are crossovers allowed?
Yes! Crossovers, alternate universe, alternate reality, fusions, RPS/RPF, and six degrees of Oz (Wanted, SVU, Rescue Me, The Wire, etc) are all allowed.

Graffixation puts the FOCUS on Oz fanART.

Usually, it's writing first and artists who choose stories, but for Graffixation, it's in reverse.

Artists create artwork, be it sketches, graphics, manips, illos, vids, etc.
Writers choose a piece of artwork to write a story for; stories have a minimum of 1000 words.
