Mixed Bag Meloni
Sep. 13th, 2008 12:55 amI sit alone, saddened by the fact that I don't get Nickelodeon and am therefore missing out on what looks to be an entirely campy, hysterical short-shorted Meloni fix. Siiiiiiiiiigh.
So I amuse myself in other ways, like finding Nights in Rodanthe pictures and Gym Teacher reviews and entirely random tidbits and factoids. Like, did you know that Nathan Fillion used to deliver singing telegrams? Possibly irrelevant to this comm, but I'm suffering, so you will too.

Nights in Rodanthe stuff
The pics aren't all that great, but... it's something.

I have some grabs from the preview too - all six seconds of him - but they're not loading right; I'll work on that later.
Or you could just go watch the preview for yourself. *g*
And a random picture I came across on Flickr, posted by someone who swears she didn't know who he was, although clearly her nipples TOTALLY recognized him.

Also, fannypack. Oh, and this was near the set of NIR in North Carolina.
Gym Teacher stuff
The Baltimore Sun says GT 'fails to make the grade' and calls it 'insulting'... but goes on with: 'that said, Meloni does fill out those shorts nicely."
Understatement.
The Boston Globe, however, describes GT as 'survival of the funniest' and praises Amy Sedaris and Meloni. This is easily the best article I've read about GT overall, mostly because of what it gives away about the movie - just enough to tantalize.
- [It is]...filled with classic double-takes and cartoonish site gags... [including] the way Stewie reacts to a new teacher-slash-love-interest. (Every time he sees her, he imagines her doing rhythmic gymnastics.)
I mean, seriously? That is FUNNY.
and
- But any time things threaten to get maudlin, the movie takes pains to poke fun at itself, in a way that even a gentle eighth-grader could appreciate.
"I think I'm bleeding on my insides," Roland tells Stewie at one point.
"We all are, a little bit," Stewie responds.
HAH.

Meloni to Pretend to Be Scared: They’re just making it worse! After casting the not-at-all scary Dylan Walsh as the must-be-scary lead in Screen Gems’ remake of The Stepfather, director Nelson McCormick casts the much-scarier Christopher Meloni in a non-scary supporting role. This movie’s just gonna be weird.
Old news, I know, but I just loved how they framed it. Well said. :D
