>"He's a little bit older and stronger and a bit of competition for Stabler", says executive producwer Neal Baer
Ugh, this Neal Baer guy is so weird. Why does everything about Olivia has to affect Stabler so deeply? Can't Olivia have a boyfirend without Stabler having to give a damn about it? And why would he care anyway? Geez. This is the only thing that bothered me about this article.*g*
"It's more the seething manliness of Hargitay and the incredible hotness of Meloni.
Really, is there a better way to sum that up? I don't think so!
Okay, maybe not manly, since her eyeliner IS actually tattooed on (no makeup my ash), and her *cameo* in Love Guru whatevs. They didn't mention Meloni in 'Carriers'; I wonder what's up with that.
I rambled more on your LJ too. "Both places". TWSS. Sounds like work. TW HE S.

I'm really new to the world of SVU. I only started watching ...a month or two ago> I set it to tape on my DVR...little did I realize that it's on 10x a day on 20 different stations :)
Anyway, I dont know the behind the scenes politics or conspiracy theories/etc etc etc re: Elliot & Olivia. I've read that Mariska and Chris have said that nothing will ever happen between them, that it would ruin the chemistry, etc. Then you've got the diehards that say they are meant to be, etc. I am kind of in between. I think TPTB have made it clear that Elliot and Liv are not viable options for each other. "El" is too much a family man, and a man of integrity, to ever leave his wife for Liv, or have an affair. And it doesn't seem like Kathy is going anywhere (much to my chagrin, lol) Liv does NOT strike me as love struck or fawning over Elliot at ALL, not in the least.
But, on the other hand, there is definitely some THERE there. And I don't think it's JUST the natural chemistry between them, coming through the screen. I think TPTB definitely throw some bones in there for the shippers, just enough to keep them satiated, without damaging the integrity of the characters (too much?)
Anyway, I'm rambling, what is my point? Oh. I definitely think that Elliot and Oliva care for each other, and not just in a platonic, sibling kind of way. But I also accept that it's unspoken and will never be acted upon. So, to that end, I personally would kind of "expect" Elliot to care about who Liv is dating. Not out of jealousy, but because he cares. And I would expect him to care, that she chose to keep her boyfriend a secret from him.
All I know is....I had only seen a handful of SVU's before I saw the "paternity" episode, where she told elliot that she had been turned down for adoption, And, even though I am still brand new to the show....that scene at the elevator, when she was telling him about being turned down... my insides were SCREAMING that Elliot should help Olivia father a baby. As irrational, impossible, and nonsensical as that is LOL But, a girl can dream, right? lol
PS--- I love Bill Pullman, but...was I the only one that was slightly startled at his appearance? He's always been a handsome man, but he seems to have aged a lot.
