Is that a special kind of shirt to wear under a suit coat with a tie, when it is hot? So he would look professionally dressed when not having a lunch break?

He uses the sleeveless shirts when filming on location in the NY Summer heat, dressed in a formal suit.
It happened last year too, at least once, when he was shooting the ep. with Luke Perry.
