Meloni on Michael & Michael (porno waiting to happen)

So colleendetroit reported that Meloni might be on last night's episode of 'Michael & Michael' on Comedy Central.

APPARENTLY HE WAS.

Televison Without Pity reports that it was a 'highly awesome show'.

Heh, highly.

"Big week for State fans! The show's complete series finally came out on DVD on Tuesday (mine's stuck in Delaware, because Amazon hates me, apparently), and Michael Showalter and Michael Ian Black celebrated never having to deal with whiny "When is The State DVD happening?!" questions ever again by premiering their new show, Michael and Michael Have Issues, on Comedy Central last night. And it was really funny! Let's talk about it.

The show alternates between show-behind-a-show scenes in the writers' room and their offices, and the actual taping of a show, which consists of the guys on a stage doing standup and throwing to pre-recorded sketches, much like their Michael and Michael tour, backed by a laugh track. The standup bits and sketches are funny (Fatal Sweater IV in particular was amazing), but of course the meat of the show is these two sniping at and one-upping each other behind the scenes.

Bitchy Michael Ian Black is one of my favorite things in the world, and Showalter is at his best when he's doing that oblivious egomaniac thing, and the show really showcases the best of them both. And, as I said before, it's really, really funny. Whether they're having a prancey lawn fight or cruelly firing a poor, defenseless intern, they're just a joy to watch together. Plus they brought their friend Chris Meloni in for a cameo! This show is officially one of my summer obsessions."


Did anyone watch it? Maybe you can check it out online. Sadly, the online "comedy network" in Canada is not the same thing as "comedy central". Boo!

I watched, because I love MIB and MS, like, a lot. I actually looked away for a moment right before Chris's cameo and so barely saw it. He was on screen for about 4 seconds. (And looked like he was wearing a horrible wig?) But I taped it, so I'll watch again.

Interestingly, they had this sketch early on in the show about a couple who were talking about their purity promises, and the bf was obviously gay (thus why he was so attracted to the woman who had taken a purity pledge. ahaha!) and was going on about how he loves to work out and had this trainer he met online who's a real 'bear'. And cut to a clip of the trainer walking around with muscles and being all hairy, and for a moment I was SURE it was Meloni in disguise, but no. Not so much. Heh.

Yes, I haven't seen it, but colleendetroit said that it was only a glimpse of Meloni and not really a "cameo" at all.

LOL! That would have been hilarious. Given his propensity for improv... he should have mentioned that. Yes. Good times.

Apparently Meloni was on-screen for srsly like four seconds, a total glimpse of him, nothing more. So no big loss there. Still, where is his PR department?!
