Elliot Stabler Career Info/Facts

As most of you know, I have been avidly reporting and watching USA Network's many Law & Order: SVU marathons. Well, other than ogling Chris Meloni and delighting in his sexiness, I have been doing research for my Oz BB story which is a crossover with SVU and I have found out some information about Elliot's career as a cop that I'd like to share. It goes as follows:

 

 

• According to the episode Doubt (2004), Elliot Stabler had 12 years in as an SVU detective in 2004. Also, attorney Donna Emmett (in the same episode) said that Elliot was a detective with “12 years of unblemished service.”
  
  

   

• According to episode Ripped (2005), Elliot tells Dr. Rebecca Hendrix that he had been an “SVU” detective for 12 years, so he must have been a cop before coming to Special Victims (Re: Doubt).
  
  

   

• In episode Fat (2006), it is stated that Elliot and Olivia had been partners for 7 years. Since SVU began in 1999, Elliot and Olivia were new partners in the beginning of the show.
  
  

   

• According to episode Haystack (2007), Judge Donnelly says in court that Elliot had been a police officer (not sure if she used that title) for 18 years which would means he became one in 1989.

 

That's all for now, but there are more marathons to come and I'll be watching.

I would like to love SVU, but I can't.
Every time I see Meloni, it seems to me that something (or someone) is missing around him. :)))
So, I keep rewatching Oz over and over and over.
There, he's complete, he's in the place where he belongs.
Ooops, but talking about SVU-Oz crossover, you can count me in.

I understand your love for Chris Keller because I share it. I first saw Chris M on Homicide in the two episodes he guest starred in (finding him sexy as hell) and then I saw him as Elliot and my attraction for him was reinforced. It was only last year that I actually saw Oz even though I knew he was in it, it took me this long to see it.

So very true! I so want to see Elliot with a character who is Lee, but it hasn't happened yet; that's why in addition to Chris K and Toby, I love reading and now writing Elliot/Toby fiction. I also love reading Elliot/Eddie Drake (Lee's Wanted character) fiction and writing Chris Keller/Eddie Drake fiction.

Ooops, but talking about SVU-Oz crossover, you can count me in.

LOL, you got it! I love these two men because they're perfect together, so I hope to do them justice in a longer story. *fingers firmly crossed* Patty.

sorry i jump into this conversation ......*wink*

i never saw SVU, for one simple reason, i'm french and in France it never was on screen, or i never noticed it .....*shame on me if that is the case...*

i first discovered Chris in Oz and i do think i can't love him more than portraying Chris Keller, but i do feel curious about it cause i'm missing these men right now ......... even if i don't think i could enjoy him with someone else than Lee ......

Jump in any time ya want! One thing about Chris Meloni is he make his characters believable and I can see this clearly. I don't, however, like seeing Chris K or Elliot Stabler with anyone who is not a Lee character.

Elliot and Chris are both so well-done that I have written them both in the same story and they are real to me. It's the same way with Lee Tergesen and his Characters. He is so good and I love him! If you get the chance, please see Lee as Eddie Drake in Wanted.

fanfromfla made a post here and at lee_love (I believe) offering copies on DVDs of some episodes and movies of Lee and Chris. Wanted is one as well as Homicide: Life On The Street with different episodes of Chris M and Lee T. You are allowed 12 totaled DVDs and Wanted is on 6. She doesn't have SVU or Oz though. It's labeled 'Christmas in July comes to LeeLoni!' in this community. It still may be open for requests since it's still July and all she asks in return is much squeeing in response.

God! It's amazing that you, guys, said everything I think.

It seems like you are inside my head, talking through my mouth, writing through my hands.

I took notice about the existence of Beecher and Keller after seeing some videos on Youtube a couple of weeks ago. Then, I started to watch Oz and... well... the show, and especially "that" storyline affected me deeply.

Since that day on, I am like a fool searching the web for stuff related to Oz, mainly to Lee Tergesen.

I asked to myself: What the hell is wrong with me? I never acted this way before. Hundreds of movies I have seem showing the story of 2 men kissing and loving each other, and they were all forgotten just minutes after.

What do these guys, Beecher and Keller, have that causes such irresistible attraction? Maybe it was the environment where the characters were portrayed. A prison!!! The last place where we were supposed to see love being cultivated between two men.

But I am almost convinced that this magnetism is due to the work of those 2 great actors, that made of the their storyline one of the best chapters in the history of TV.

I love to see them together. Sometimes I guess if Meloni and Tergesen are aware of this: the existence of thousands of people who are obsessed by their characters in Oz and hope, one day, to see them working together again.

They are and were so amazing because the actors themselves have genuine affection for each other. I wish Chris hadn't dismantled his website because there is a section where he talks about his feelings for Lee and how close they are.

You may have seen this, but if not, here is a vid of them at the 2000 GLAAD Awards with Chris and Lee kissing that illustrates this--So amazing!

You are very welcome and thank you for the sweet words! I know the pic, but I don't know where to find it. I searched my pics, I've been googling and I searched some of my friends journals here at lj to no avail.

I'll keep looking, but you may want to check previous posts here because I was sure it used to be on the sidebar, but I can't swear to it. You also may want to make a post at oz_wishing_well asking for a link to it. I'm sorry I'm not much help with this. *hugs*

ohohooo .... guess what ?
I bought the first SVU season in DVD ...... ahaaaaa i'm so happy to be able to see Chris, it's great .... i mean, to see him mostly, i'm just afraid of seeing Elliot flirting with Olivia at some point ......
why do i want Chris with another man ..... tell me ?!!!

I have never seen them flirt in any of the episodes; the closest was when Elliot was buying Olivia a hot dog and she makes the comment that she thought they'd be sitting down in a restaurant or something similar. Another time involved food, too. Elliot came to pick up Olivia at her apartment after a suspect (a real estate agent) had focused on her and he drank from her orange juice glass, I believe.

Whenever I see them together, I think brother and sister, so I don't think you have to worry at all with Olivia. Of course, in Season 6 or 7 when Olivia leaves and he's separated from Kathy, he partners with Dani Beck (who I never liked) and in one episode towards the end of her stay on the show, they kiss (yuk! Did not care for her at all).

And then there's Kathy who I am not fond of either, but he doesn't spend that much time with her. I just grimace and bear it and imagine him with Toby. :)

BTW: Thank you for thinking about me. I'm still trying to make it; I've been staying with my sister a lot because my brother and I shared an apartment together and it's hard to stay there alone. I pray that I find another apartment soon. *hugs*
